The PIT Strength and Conditioning offers the best function training programs available to help our athletes, adults and youth reach their fitness potential. We focus on sports performance, training and enhancement for athletes as well as functional and progressive movement for adults and children. We run programs that challenge the body and force adaptations without a risk injury.

We are the official training facility of the Bloomington Thunder, Illinois State University Athletics and K’s Academy.
The PIT Strength and Conditioning opened in 2013 as an extension of Four Seasons Association at 2401 Airport Road. Four Seasons saw a need for a place where like-minded members of the community can come better themselves mentally, physically, interact with each other and get individualized training all at the same time. We have produced elite athletes from collegiate to MLB and CHL.
The PIT provides comprehensive strength and conditioning systems for all PIT members from elite athlete to general population, using progressive training principles and a focus on superior coaching.
Every THRIVE gym uses the functional training system created by world-renowned strength coach Mike Boyle, who trained the 2013 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox and the 2014 Silver-Medal Winning U.S. Women’s Hockey Team, as well as hundreds of NFL, NBA, and NHL athletes.
But this program isn’t just for the elite. While every THRIVE fitness program employs the very same principles that Boyle uses to train world-class athletes, it’s 100 percent personalized for any age, fitness level, or goal.
The THRIVE program is designed to bring out the best in every body, to help you move better, feel better, and look better.
When you walk into a gym powered by THRIVE, you won’t see many machines. In fact, you won’t see any traditional machines at all.
Instead, you’ll first see lots of space. What do we put in that space? People. That’s the secret of why THRIVE is so effective.
We don’t rely on machines that you sit in to make sure you’re training correctly. Our coaches do that. We don’t ignore you. We train you.
Our goal: To help you move like you were designed to move. All so you can train safely, intensely, and effectively—for the best results of your life.
Make no mistake: The THRIVE program does utilize both traditional and state-of-the art training equipment. So you’ll use kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, plyometric boxes, and agility ladders, but also Keiser Functional Trainers, Drive Sleds, Victory Racks, TRX Suspension Trainers, Assault AirBikes, and more.
But the focus isn’t on the equipment. It’s on your body: how you move and how you feel. And how you can get better every single workout. That’s what Men’s Health THRIVE is all about.
